Obituary of Carlos Gray

Carlos Eugene Gray, age 67, of Independence, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Ft. Thomas. He was a retired Carman for L & N (C.S.X.) Railroad. Carlos always had a quick wit and he coached youth baseball in the Taylor Mill Boosters and Kenton County Knothole leagues for years. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, golfing, working on cars, watching most sports, and spending time with his family. His brother, Allen Gray, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife June Wagner Gray; sons, David Eugene (Jennifer) Gray; Duane Edward (Vickie) Gray; brother, Larry Gray; sisters, Linda Kelly, Myra Bradley, and Laura Lee; and grandchildren, Kyle Gray, Nick Gray, Kirsten Gray, Amber Strange, and Nicole Strange. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will begin Friday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
