Obituary of Elmo Schlueter

Elmo Richard Schlueter, age 90, of Warsaw, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was a retired truck driver for L+N Concrete. Elmo served with the Army during WWII and was a longtime member of Piner Baptist Church, serving as deacon for over 53 years. He also enjoyed reading, farming and was an avid UK Wildcats fan. Elmo's greatest joy, however, was spending time with family and friends. Elmo is survived by his wife, Anita Middleton; son, Brad (Tina) Schlueter; step-daughter, Dawn (Joe) Smith; step-sons, Gary (Valerie) Middleton and Jeff (Ruth) Middleton; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Schlueter and daughter, Darlene Schlueter. A visitation for Elmo will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 11AM until the time of the 1PM funeral service at Piner Baptist Church, 15044 Madison Pike, Morning View, KY 41063. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated in Elmo's name to the Piner Baptist Church Building Fund.
