Obituary of George Ferguson
Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Memory: On angels wings you were taken, but in my heart you'll stay, and in Gods love you will rest, until we meet again some day. After a brave fight God lifted Fergie up into His arms. On Monday, July 7, 2014, George Robert "Fergie" Ferguson, age 74, was welcomed into the presence of The Lord with no more pain or fear.
Missing him today and always, his wife, of 46 years, Patricia of Erlanger, his sons; Bobby (Holly) Ferguson of Villa Hills, Mark (Jill) Johnson and Randy Johnson of Florence; daughters Barbara (Mike) Ferguson of Bellevue, Karen (Steve) Rohrer of Ft. Thomas, and Tabatha (Teddy) Klosterman of Bellevue. He is dearly missed by his 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Howard (Nancy) Ferguson of Hamilton, OH; and sisters, Connie Sharp of Alexandria, KY and Lil McIntyre of Dayton, KY. "Fergie" is having a joyous reunion with his parents, Howard and Ruth Ferguson, his sister, Marlene Liska, and his son, Jeff.
He was born in Ruthsville, IN and moved to KY when he was just 16. "Fergie" was a great mechanic and drove stock cars at N.KY Speedway. He spent 36 years being a truck driver and rigger for Bob Clark and SK Rigging of Cincinnati, OH. He was a Christian and attended Christ Chapel in Erlanger. He was a man of his word who firmly believed in an honest days work. He was a hard worker and never had patience with those that were not. He refused to ask for a raise as he felt if his boss thought he deserved one he would get it. "Fergie's" memory will live on in all the lives he has touched. Until we meet again my love.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence with services immediately following at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate.
Memorials may be made to Christ Chapel Church, 3819 Turfway Rd., Erlanger, KY 41018.
Reception to follow the services at Christ Chapel Church.
