Obituary of Rita Christian

Rita Jan Christian, 56, was granted her angel wings on July 10, 2014. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some small way throughout her very memorable and full life. Jan's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her compassion, love, and gentle smile understood, the quality of existence, far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She was very passionate about serving people, especially children. She enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, riding horses, planting and working in her garden, but most of all she loved to serve. Jan was also a worshipper; she spent her life in worship to Christ. Jan married the love of her life, Randy in 1979. She is survived by her husband Randy, son's Adon, Brian, and Erick and her mother, Sybil Salsman. Preceded in death by her father Bill Nash. A celebration will be held honoring Jan's amazing life on Tuesday, July 15 at 10:00 am at the 7 Hills Church, 6800 Hazel Court Florence, KY. Pastor Marcus Mecum will officiate.
