Obituary of Barbara Siffel

Barbara Ann Siffel (nee Yowell), age 72, of Morning View, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a retired Teacher for the Northern Kentucky Head Start Program, a member of Barnes Temple A.M.E. church, and a graduate of Boone County High School. Barb enjoyed flowers, sewing, working crosswords, watching game shows, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hiram "Harry" Siffel; parents, William and Bessie Yowell, brother, William, Jr.; and sisters, Bessie, Catherine, and Katie. She is survived by her sons, William (Richard), David, Anthony (Amanda), and Wesley (Teresa); grandchildren, Jennifer, Josh, Cheyenne, Katie, Elijah, Molly, and Shiloh; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with services beginning at noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell. Memorials may be made to the Barnes Temple A.M.E., 437 Fox St., Elsmere, KY 41018.
