Cora Irene Ball Longworth, age 83, of Covington, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, at her daughter's residence in Jackson, TN. She was a retired Supervisor for Southern Ohio Bank and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Cynthiana, KY. Ms. Longworth enjoyed reading, working on the computer, and attending church. Her husband, Charles Longworth; and sisters, Ginny Elmore and Barb McCracken preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Margie Gray and Nancy Mandernach; sons, Charles "Tom" McClure and Randall McClure; sisters, Patty Rich, Rose Chinn, Betty Haskamp, Linda Setters, Katherine Humphries, Ruby Ball, and Dorothy Bond; brothers, James Ball, Paul Ball, and Major Ball; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday , August 28, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church in Cynthiana, 1760 U.S. 27, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
