Obituary of Myrna VanHorn

Myrna Joy Franklin Van Horn, 69, died Sunday June 1 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood.
She was a medical assistant instructor for Gateway College, member of Oak Island Baptist Church where she was choir director for 25 years and she enjoyed crafts, crocheting and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Van Horn; son, Mark Vargas; daughters, Susan Leslie Armstrong; brother, Karl W. Franklin; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday June 4 and service will be 11 a.m. Thursday June 5 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in the Van Horn Family Cemetery.
