Obituary of Fred Schadler

Fred A. "Freddie" Schadler, 76, of Erlanger, passed away Sunday, October 05, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was retired from Arvin Meritor (previously Rockwell International), the longest standing male member of New Banklick Baptist Church, a life-time member of the Bradford Masonic Lodge (over 50 years) in Independence, a member of Woodmen of the World, and a U.S. Army Veteran. Freddie loved to golf and collect model cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mason G. and Marie Glass Schadler; and brother-in-laws, Bob Young and Frank Kidwell. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Boatright Schadler; daughters, Debbie Johnson and Amy Hensley; son, Bill Hensley; sisters, Gilberta Kidwell, Marilyn Young, and Pam (Terry) Barnes; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Haley) Johnson, Jenny Cooper, Jessica Johnson, and Elle Hensley; and great grandchildren, Taylor Cooper and Jimmy Johnson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Masonic services will begin around 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home with funeral services immediately following. Interment with military honors will be at Independence Cemetery.
