Obituary of Dillard Witt

Dillard Douglas Witt, Jr., age 72, of Independence, KY passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Woodcrest Nursing Home in Elsmere, KY. He was a retired engineer with CSX Railroad. Dillard was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel, he also bravely served our country as a member of the United States Air Force. Dillard was preceded in death by his sister, Zelma Edwards and brother, Andrew Jesse Witt. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frances Marie Witt; sons, Douglas S. Witt and Steven P. (Lenae) Witt; sister, Diane Dugger; brothers, Eugene Witt, Chester Witt and Troy Witt; granddaughter, Cassidy Nicole Witt. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence, KY from 10 AM until the funeral service begins at 12 noon. Interment will take place immediately after in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown, KY. Memorial donations are suggested to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center P.O. Box 643270 Cincinnati, OH 45264.
