Obituary of Allen Slayback

Allen Huey Slayback, age 78, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was a retired licensure agent with the Kentucky Race Horse Commission, but also sold cars in Frankfort and was at one time employed by the State Police. Allen enjoyed playing golf and watching sports, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, University of Kentucky Wildcats and the Cincinnati Cyclones. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family and friends. Allen was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sally M. Slayback and his parents, George & Patsy Slayback. He is survived by his daughter, Sally Martin; sons, Steve (Ahna) Slayback & Jay Slayback; grandchildren, Christi, Marcus & Jalen Slayback; uncle, Dr. Jay M. (Corky) Huey; cousin, Joanne Bowman; as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation for Allen will take place on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 11AM until the time of the funeral service at 1PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be at Richwood Cemetery.
