Obituary of William Matteoli

William Omer Matteoli, age 76, of Independence, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015. Bill was a retired carpenter for Warm Brothers and was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Ponzers' Social Club and a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed softball, basketball, golf, corn hole, and was an avid fisherman. Bill is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Bush Matteoli, daughter; Sharon Sexton, step-daughter; Shonnie Murphy, sons; Bill Matteoli, Jr. and Sean Matteoli, step-son; Randy Elbert, sisters; Joyce Menke and Sandy Richardson, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. A gathering of friends will take place from 6-8 with a memorial service immediately following. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations are requested to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
