Glenda Marie Anderson Jackson, 74, died Tuesday, July 15, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.

She was a retired teacher at Hickory Grove Daycare, a member of Oak Island Baptist Church, Morning View, and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Jackson; daughter, Cathy Jackson; sons, Paul and David Jackson; brothers, Donald and Dave Anderson; sisters, Vonice Aimone and Carolyn Durrence; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Services will be 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
