Ronald "Steve" Curtis, 76, of Taylor Mill went to be with his Lord, Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. He served in the US Army and was a computer programmer for AT&T. Steve was involved in many activities but was most passionate about his Faith. He was a member of Violet Ridge Church of Christ where served on many committees, most recently the Eldership Committee, and was a former Elder at Elsmere Church of Christ. He was also a sports enthusiast and a founder of Taylor Mill Boosters, a founder of Scott Eagle Club and coached many youth sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Grant Curtis and Nora Thelma Craycraft Curtis. Survivors include his devoted wife of 56 years Jewell Rita Ballinger Curtis; daughters Angela (Bernie) Franke of Ft. Thomas, and Susan (Jeremy) Kinman of Independence; sons Mark (Cindy) Curtis of Boise, ID, Barry (Cheryl) Curtis of Florence, and Patrick (Colleen) Curtis of Independence; sister Doris (Marvin) Jett of Batavia; and grandchildren Kelsey, Kenny, Randall, Justin, Brady, Curtis, Gillian, Corbin, Michael, and Adam.
Visitation will be at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Walton Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be 11 AM Friday, April 10 at Violet Ridge Church of Christ of Crittenden. Burial will be at Peach Grove Cemetery of Pendleton County, KY.
