Obituary of Dorothy Embry

Dorothy Marie Embry, age 75, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015, at her residence in Worthville, KY. She was a retired Relief Bag Catcher for Duro Bag Company in Covington and she enjoyed shopping and decorating her house. Her father, Dillard Powell; mother, Geneva Mullins; sisters, Eleanore Butler and Judy Lynch, all preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Earl Embry; daughter, Emma L. Witt; sons, Johnny (Jaime) Embry and Allen (Julie) Embry; sister, Beverly Simpson; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Children's Hospital, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
