Dave and I spent a lot of nights kickin around Kenton and Boone counties...not to mention the basketball team at SK. Dave was like a Gazelle on the court and was the best at jumping a passing lane with his speed for an easy layup at the other end. Dave had unreal jumping ability and played his position of forward well. Always a quiet guy unless you got to know him.Dave had a wicked sense of humor. I lost touch with Dave when I left the state for the dirty south in 1980 but was able to see him at the "78" 20 year class reunion and he was one of the few whom had not really changed. That was the last time I saw Dave. When we ran together his favorite band was Boston...so Im not surprised at all that his daughters name is Amanda. This hits hard even though its been such a "Long Time". I think Im gonna take a few days away from work...cause its just not that important in the big picture. I am deeply saddened by his passing and God bless his family and friends.
I'M SO SORRY for Dave, his family members, friends, and everyone grieving over him! Am praying for Dave and all those grieving. My mom, Mary Ann, said she would have a service said for him at our church in Cincinnati. Everyone please pray for his soul, and all those grieving for him.
Regret that I can not be present for the services. Sending my sympathy and love to family. Many precious memories of David with Ruth, Jesse, Danny and Alan growing up. He will be missed by those who remain but I know there has been a joyous reunion with those who have gone before. May God bless each of you with peace and comfort in the coming days.
My heart broke when I heard of David's passing. We started out as friends when our parents used to play cards together and went all the way through high school together. Gosh did we have some fun times then! Those are the things I will remember about "Scruff". He was a kind soul. My sympathy to his children and his brothers.
My dad was the best. He had the most kind heart, and worked so hard everyday. He loved my butterscotch candies that I'd make each Christmas and we'd watch A Christmas Story over and over on Christmas Day. I'll miss him more than anything, but know he is in Heaven watching and protecting me and David.
My heart goes out to Dave's family and just want to let everyone know how much he will be missed. He was a good person that keep me laughing and we joked around everyday we worked, just not going to be the same.
