Obituary of Frances Duncan

Frances J. Slayden Duncan passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 on her 89th birthday at Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger, KY. She was a retired Seamstress for St. Elizabeth Hospital and a member of Staffordsburg United Methodist Church, the Piner Homemakers (for over 50 years), and the Kenton County Homemakers.
Frances loved to sew & she did alterations for many friends and families over the years. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening and traveling. After her husband, Clarence Duncan's death in 1979, she occasionally taught at the Kenton County Extension Agency and enjoyed taking bus tours. Her daughter, Judy Tungate also preceded her in death in 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann (Ron) Brown and Jane Freimuth; sons, Jeff (Barbara) Duncan and John Duncan; sister, Martha Rushing; brothers, Joe and Warren Slayden; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence with funeral services immediately following at 12 noon. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
