Obituary of Dolorose Smith

Dolorose Catherine (nee Rauen) Smith, of Union, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the age of 91. She was a homemaker and member of All Saints Catholic Church. Dolorose enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with family and friends. Dolorose was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert and sisters, Mary Allen, Dorothy Simpson and Aileen Judd. She is survived by her daughters, Geraldine Couch, Brenda (Robert) Tolson, Judy Vannarsdall and Anita (Ken) Klawitter; sons, Donald Smith, James (Jacqueline) Smith and David Smith; sister, Mildred Fangman; brothers, Robert Rauen, Raymond Rauen and Roy Rauen; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation for Dolorose will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton from 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, July 2, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, KY at 10am. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Memorials in Dolorose's name are appreciated to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S. Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
