John Wayne Preston, of Warsaw, KY passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood at the age of 67. He was a Marine Combat Veteran that served in Vietnam. John loved to have fun by partying, fishing and boating. His greatest joy, most of all, was spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his loving wife, Diana Jean Preston; sons, Michael Lee (Kelly) Preston, Nathan Eugene (Christy) Preston and John C. (Lauren) Preston; sisters, Phyllis Shaw, Barbara Preston and Geneva Lynn Zinnkis; brothers, Gilbert Preston and Bill Preston; grandchildren, Madeline Shepherd, Macy Preston, Morgan Preston, Evan Preston, Morgan Neace Preston, Johnathan Preston,Ryan Preston and John Thomas Preston; as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation for John will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. The Reverend Bob Highchew will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Amelia, OH. Memorials in John's name are appreciated to the Forged Warriors Foundation, 17 Old Beaver Road, Walton, KY 41094.
