Obituary of Robert Best

Robert Lloyd Best, age 77, of Independence, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Cold Spring Care Center, Cold Spring, KY. He was a former Air Freight Forwarder for Lynden Air Freight and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and was an Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
His son, Rion Best and his sister, Sherry Lass, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife (of close to 50 years), Sandra Hamilton Best of Independence; son, Eric Best (Kimble) of Independence; and grandchildren, Nicole Best and Kellie Best, both of Lawrenceburg, IN.
A gathering of friends will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
