Obituary of Lynette Owings

Lynette Ann "Buffy" Vanover Owings, of Independence, KY passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY at the age of 46. Buffy was formerly a property manager for North American Properties. She enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy, however, was watching her daughter, Abby, play basketball. Buffy is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Vanover. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Dennis Owings; daughter, Abby Owings; father, Clarence Vanover; sisters, Sherry (Tom) Wright and Donna Vanover; many loving nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation for Buffy will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will take place in Independence Cemetery. Memorial donations in Buffy's name may be made out to the Walk Ahead Fund and mailed to the UC Brain Tumor Center, Office of Development, Attn: Walk Ahead, P.O. Box 670570, Cincinnati, OH 45267-0570.
