Obituary of Gary R. Peebles

Gary R. Peebles, 62, of Union, died Sunday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired data systems analyst with AT&T and a former administrator with IBM, a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Independence and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Osterbrook Peebles; a son, Leslie Travis Peebles of Norwood, Ohio; daughters, Julie Lynn Freimuth and Tina Rae Peebles, both of Independence; stepdaughters, Christina Lynn Boutwell of Independence and Michelle Leigh Boutwell of Union; his parents, Leslie Gordon and Hazel Conner Peebles of Independence; a brother, Richard Allen Peebles of Independence; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
