Obituary of John Williams

John R. "Jack" Williams, age 82, of Walton, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a retired Systems Technician for Cincinnati Bell (where he worked for over 40 years), a member of the Telephone Pioneers, a member of St. Patrick's Church in Taylor Mill, and he formerly served as an Independence City Councilman. Jack enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul, collecting antiques, playing golf and following his beloved U.K. Wildcats.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. Bittner Williams (61 years); sons, Mark Williams (Peggy), Greg Williams (Ruth), and Barry Williams; grandchildren, Craig Williams, Kendall Williams, Megan Williams, Lindsey Heringer, Amy Jones, and Rachel Frambes; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Williams, Eva Frambes, and Reid Frambes.
Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2015 from 12 noon to 3:15 p.m. at St. Patrick Church at 3285 Mills Rd., Taylor Mill, KY 41015 with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 3:15 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. Cecilia Church Cemetery in Independence.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church, St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 or the Catholic Diocese Orphanage, 75 Orphanage Rd., Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
