Obituary of Stephen M. Ackman

Stephen "Frog" M. Ackman, 53, of Independence, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Covington. He was an inspector with Esco Corporation.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Combs Ackman; a stepson, Tom Combs of Independence; stepdaughters, Kay Combs of Beattyville and Beverly Crabtree of Piner; his mother, Margie E. Ackman of Covington; a brother, Dick Ackman of Ludlow; sisters, Donna Slater of Erlanger and Debbie Sharp of Ohio; four step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth North Hospice, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
