Obituary of Clyde Stamper

Clyde Stamper, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at his residence at the age of 87.
He was born on December 4, 1927, the son of John "Taubley" and Ella Mae Stamper. Clyde was a retired truck driver for Interstate Motor Freight. He enjoyed farming, raising livestock, fishing and being outdoors. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie; daughter, Kimberly Lovelace; grandson, Dillon Alexander Hyden; great-granddaughter, Mia Claire Ellert-Murphy; one sister and many brothers. He is survived by his loving daughters, Karen (Steve) Eminhizer, Kathy (Todd) Murphy and Barbara Stamper; brother, Donald (Louise) Stamper; grandchildren, Jessica Goforth, Matt Murphy, Amberly Hoffman, Josh Eminhizer, Tara Murphy, Dalton Hyden and Pate Littrell; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Clyde will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will immediately follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Clyde's name may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 and/or the St. Cecilia Building Fund, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
