William "Bill" Herman Freimuth Jr., age 80, of Independence, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his residence. He was a truck driver for Airborne Express and retired after 27 years.
Bill was a member of First Baptist Church of Independence and enjoyed bowling, traveling, driving, and watching the Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Emily (nee Meinze), step-son William Edward Combs, and grandsons Adam and Samuel Freimuth.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Billie Jean (nee Burch); children, Tim Freimuth (Judy), Theresa Back (Hershel), Mike Freimuth, Deron Freimuth (Julie), and Bill Freimuth III (Shannon); grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Kasey, Michael, Deron John, Lisa, Annie, Grace, Addison, and Sydney; great-grandchildren Dalton, Logan, Mason, Ethan, Nathaniel, Shiloh, Sara, and Eli; siblings Richard L. Freimuth (Peggy) and Karen Perkinson (Wayne);.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 4PM until 7:30 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.
The Funeral Service will begin at 7:30PM Friday, February 5, 2016, also at the funeral home. The burial will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016, 12 Noon at The Burch Family Cemetery in Beattyville, KY.
