Obituary of Marilyn Spicer

Marilyn V. Robinson Spicer, age 75, of Florence, born in Stanton, KY, passed away on Feb. 3, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. She was the daughter of Warder Clay Robinson and Pauline Lutes Robinson. Preceding her in death were her parents Warder Clay (Nettie) Robinson, Pauline (Sam) Zion; Uncle Forest (Myrtle) Lutes; Aunt Ruby (Lowell) Brandenburg. Marilyn is survived by her husband Howard E. Spicer, two sons: Jeffrey Todd and Aaron Mark Spicer. Brother, Kendall B. (Sharon) Robinson of Booneville, KY; one nephew, John B (Katrina) Robinson of Nashville, TN; and very special friend, Shirley Rhoton. She was a school teacher of 30 plus years, having taught in Lee Co., Kenton Co., Boone Co., Campbell Co, and spent her last several years at Grant Co. Middle School. Educated at Owsley Co. High School, Lees Jr. College, Maryville College, and Eastern Kentucky University. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2016 from 5 PM-8 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, Ky. Funeral service Saturday, February 6, 2016, 9 AM at the funeral home. Burial in Shepherd Memorial Cemetery, Booneville, Kentucky. Memorials may be sent to American Diabetes, 644 Linn St., Suite 304, Cincinnati, OH 45203 or New Beginning Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 3830 Narrows Rd., Erlanger, KY 41018.
