Obituary of Leslie G. Peebles

Leslie G. Peebles, 90, of Independence, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired mill worker with J.B. Doppes Lumber Co. and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Independence. A son, Gary Peebles, died Oct. 24.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Conner Peebles of Independence; a son, Richard Peebles of Independence; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
