Obituary of Ralph Houston

Ralph "Sonny" Carrick Houston, 83, of Walton, went from his earthly home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 3, 2016.
He retired as a heavy equipment operator from Union Light Heat & Power then worked for Whackenhut providing security at CVG for 12 years and is a member of Community Family Church. Ralph was an Eagle Scout, served in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Veteran, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and swimming.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Edna Geneva (Huntsman) Houston, brothers Martin Nathan Houston and Ronald Lee Houston.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Jan Robertson Houston; daughters Glenna (Ron) Wilson of Covington and Holly (Todd) Carpenter of Taylor Mill; brother Teddy (Carol) Houston of Florence; grandchildren Bradford Young, Stacey Caldwell, Lauryn Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Gabrieal Wyatt, Jocelyn Hatfield, Houston Carpenter; 6 Great-Grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be at Community Family Church Monday, March 7, 2016 from 4 PM until the funeral service at 7 PM. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
