Obituary of Kent Jett

Kent Paul Jett, 56, of Vandalia, OH, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital of Edgewood. He was a job setter at Mahle Behr Company of Dayton, OH and served in the US Air Force. Kent enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding Harleys, and sports including UK Basketball, Bengals, and the Reds. His parents William Jett and Vicky Jett, and brother Billy Jett preceded him in death. Survivors include his children Dawn Flatter (Scott) of Tipp City, OH, Christina Shadowens (Eric) of Reno, NV, and Kent Jett, II (Mary) of Mooresville, NC; fiancé Lisa Cain of Independence; siblings Nancy Jett of Latonia, and Mark Jett of Cleveland, TN; and grandchildren Ian, Noah, Conner, Dustin, Logan, Colin, Chloe, Grady, and Kent Jett, III "KJ." Visitation will be at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 1PM until the Memorial Service at 2 PM. He will be laid to rest privately at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sentinels of Hope Gastonia, P.O. Box 550458 Gastonia, NC 28055.
