Obituary of Stephen Pierson

Stephen E. Pierson, age 72, of Florence passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a former Truck Driver and U.S. Navy Veteran. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and blacksmithing.
His son, Andy Pierson; daughter, Shawn Floyd; father, Warren William Pierson, Sr.; mother, Thelma Ash; and brothers, Buddy Pierson, Jr., Thomas Benjamin Pierson, Michael Pierson, Warren Pierson, and Bob Pierson preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Tom Pierson (Tricia), Steve Floyd (Bobbie), Tammy Kerr, and Deanna Spencer (Brian); sister, Beatrice Oesting; thirteen grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 at Paintslick Baptist Church Cemetery in Glencoe. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
