Obituary of Cristina Smith

Cristina Lynne Elmore Smith, age 54, of Covington, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 8, 2016 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she was a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit. She loved animals (especially her dogs), fishing, playing cards, collecting antiques and Longaberger baskets. Cris previously worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital and was also a member of St. Patrick Church in Taylor Mill, KY. She is survived by her husband, Michael W. Smith; sons, Adam Sebastian and Tyler Schmid; foster child, Briony Granaeos; brothers, Ron Meyer (Ruth) and Bob Meyer (Jo); and nieces, Karen Pangburn and Cheryl Flack (Ron). Her visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with services immediately following at 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Smith Family, c/o Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
