Thelma "Diane" Spicer, of Morning View, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice on Edgewood, KY on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the age of 83.
She was born on November 29, 1932; the daughter of James and Dolly Dennis. Diane retired from Kenton County Schools as a cafeteria worker. She had a passion for cooking, shopping and gardening. Diane was also a member of Morning View United Methodist Church where she was very active, including being part of the church choir and women's society. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her loving parents; husband, Arthur; 5 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Wallace) Finnell; sons, A.J. (Fran) Spicer, Michael (Karen) Spicer and David Spicer; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Diane will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery.
Memorials in Diane's name may be given to Morning View United Methodist Church, 4006 rich Road, Morning View, KY 41063.
