Obituary of Robert Carr
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Todd Carr, of Walton, KY passed away after a brief illness at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY on the morning of Saturday, May 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 65.
He was born on February 13, 1951; the son of Robert J. and Joan Carr. He graduated from St. Henry High School and then later the University of Louisville Tech School. Todd was the owner of American Biomedical Equipment for over 30 years and also served in the United States Army. He was very passionate about helping others. That showed in his volunteer work, having taken many trips to Navajo Nation in Arizona. He was kind to every person he came across through his travels on business, as well as the many hospitals that he served throughout the entire United States.
Todd enjoyed playing softball and was an avid sports fan, especially for the Cincinnati Reds. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Todd cared about his family and friends more than he cared about himself. He was a proud man and his passing leaves an enormous void in the lives of so many that will never be filled.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol; daughters, Jennifer Neil Tritschler and Taryne Elizabeth (Rickey Case) Carr; son, R. Tyler (Leann) Carr; sister, Denise (Gary) Kraft; brothers, Richard Carr and Kevin (Ruthan) Carr; brother-in-law, Ron (Cyndi) Christner; mother-in-law, Margaret (Lloyd) Williams; grandchildren, Cortlandt Tritschler, Ashlandt Trischler and Emmalyn Carr; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Gathering of Friends will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence.
Burial will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North the following day.
Memorials in Todd's name may be given to the American Heart Association, 5211, Madison Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45227.
