Obituary of Mildred Sumner

Mildred Johnson Sumner, 83, of Morning View, died Monday at Owenton Manor. Her husband, Luthur Combs Sumner Sr., and a son, Luthur Combs Sumner Jr., preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Charles Victor Sumner of Kentucky and Marlin Eugene of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Ausma Temple of Owenton; brothers, Merle Johnson of Little Rock, Ark., and Bill Johnson of Taylor Mill; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were changed due to the inclement weather and will be at 10 a.m. Monday December 27th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 22 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Crystal Cathedral, P.O.
