Obituary of Betty Sargent

Betty Jean Poland Sargent, age 74, of Independence, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood. She was a retired Customer Service Agent for Air Group Express and the former Cafeteria Manager at Simon Kenton High School.
Her son, Jeff Sargent, and brother, Donald Poland, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Sargent; son, Joe Sargent; mother, Mary Morgan; sisters, Judy Davis and Patty Barnett; grandchildren, Randy Sargent, Cameron Sargent, and Brooke Sargent; and one great grandson, Bradley Sargent.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with services immediately following at noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.
