Obituary of Karen Lynne Alford

Karen Lynn Engel Alford, 47, died Sunday, Jan. 11, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. She was a homemaker, worked for Gap Distribution and a member of Nicholson Christian Church in Independence. Survivors include her husband, Troy Alford; daughters, Carisa Mitchell of Price Hill and Alyssa Alford of Independence; son, Nathaniel R. Alford of Independence; stepdaughter, Kristina Alford of Cold Spring; sisters, Kathy Miles of Hamilton, Ohio and Tina Engel of Independence; brother, Lawrence G. Engel of Newport; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, with service following at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be at noon, Thursday, Jan. 15, at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Reading, Ohio. Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Nicholson Christian Church.
