May 1, 1945 - January 16, 2009 Charles "Charlie" H. Campbell, 63, of Florence, Kentucky, formerly of Somerset, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on May 1, 1945, son of the late Oscar and Maria Blankenship Campbell. He was a former mechanic for Maxwell Trucking in Sharonville, OH and a member of Orchard St. Baptist Church. He was a Boone County Sheriffs Deputy in the 1970's and a thirty-second degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Suzan Campbell of Florence, KY, two daughters, Christy Clark of Florence, KY and Candy Maupin of Sharonville, OH, one son, Charles Campbell Jr. of Florence, four brothers, Johnny Campbell, William Campbell, Archie Campbell and Kenny Campbell, all of Somerset and five grandchildren, Tasha Clark of Florence, KY, Austin Maupin of Sharonville, OH, DJ Clark of Florence, KY, Alyssa Maupin of Sharonville, OH and Devin Clark of Florence, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Henry Campbell. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Monday, January 19, 2008 at Chambers & Grubbs of Florence, followed by a funeral service at 7:30. A second funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blue John Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to ALS Assoc. KY Chapter 2375 Fortune Dr. Lexington, KY 40509.
