Obituary of Charles Howard

Charles Edward Howard, 34, of Independence, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a carpenter with Handyman Connections and a member of Carters Chapel Methodist Church, Demossville. He was a member of the church choir and hand bell choir, and was formerly involved with the Berea County Dancers. Survivors include a son, Kevin James Howard of Louisville, and his mother, Joyce Stephens Howard of Independence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Carters Chapel Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs in Independence. Burial will be in Carters Chapel Cemetery, Demossville. Memorials are suggested to Charles Howard Memorial Trust, in care of Bank of Kentucky, 12020 Madison Pike, Independence, Ky. 41051; or Carters Chapel United Methodist Church, 1044 Carters Chapel Road, Demossville, Ky. 41033.
