Donald Ray "Don" Bridges, of Florence, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born in Covington, KY on May 14, 1937; the son of Emile and Mary Bridges. Don was a member of Bethesda Community Church in Independence, KY, as well as the Lions Club. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Don was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald Bridges, Jr. and brother, Burton Bridges. He is survived by his soulmate, Carolyn Campbell; daughter, Rhonda (Steve) Headley; sisters, Claudine Simpson, Shirley Steffen, Dawn (Mike) Koors, Lois (Basil) Edwards and Holly (Dave) Mayerchek; brothers, Dennis (Jel) Bridges, Lloyd (Kathy) Bridges and Derf (Haydee) Bridges; granddaughters, Katie Anne Headley and Jessie Headley; as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation for Don will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
