Obituary of Henry Sebastian

TAYLOR MILL - Henry "Hank" Edward Sebastian, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 12 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice. He was a mechanical engineer at General Electric and a member, trustee and Sunday School teacher at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He was also the past master of Robert Burns Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite, a 32nd degree mason, a Shriner, Youth Basketball coach and a Kentucky Colonel. He was also a teacher in both Breathitt and Owsley counties who loved woodworking and gardening. His daughters, Mary Beth Sebastian and Brenda Sebastian Schadler both died previously. Survivors include wife, Mary Turner Sebastian of Taylor Mill; son, Paul Sebastian of Jackson, KY; daughter, Dianne Sebastian of Taylor Mill; daughter, Phyllis Sebastian Patton of Taylor Mill; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at the Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the Mill Dam Cemetery in Sebastians' Branch, KY. Memorials: Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 6056 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015.
