James Thomas "Tom" Wethington, 63 of Walton, KY, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016. Tom was a former construction manager at Holiday/Freedom Homes. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and past member of the Walton Verona Masonic Lodge. Tom enjoyed golfing, fishing and tinkering on anything that needed to be fixed. Tom is preceded in death by his sister, Barb Hopperton and a brother, Mike Wethington. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Harney Wethington, daughters, Jenny Readnour (Jason), Miranda, Susan and Taylor Wethington, sons, James Wethington Jr., Brad and Cody Wethington, sisters, Edie Trzop (Phil) and Vicki Thacker (John), brothers, Gary (Pat), Bill (Ann), Dave (Sue), Tony and Keith Wethington (Sheila), grandchildren, Jozlynn, Jenna and Jace Readnour and Conner Wethington. Services will be at Chambers & Grubbs Walton. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10 AM. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY. Memorial donations are suggested to: Foster Care to Success, 21351 Gentry Dr., Suite 130, Sterling, VA 20166.
