Obituary of Patricia Scott

Patricia Ann Scott, age 87, of Erlanger, formerly of Walton, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger, KY. At the age of 17, Pat tried out for and made the Fort Wayne Daisies team, part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Later, she played basketball for the University of Kentucky while earning a degree in Zoology. After that, in addition to serving as a Phlebotomist for Dr. Luke Homagomi's office in Cincinnati, OH, she was a horse trainer, dog trainer, and former County Extension Agent in Boone County, KY. Her many hobbies included, golfing, fishing, shooting, archery, bowling, painting, and intricate wood carving. She was also a participant in the Walton-Verona Senior Dulcimer Group, as well as played several other musical instruments. There was very little she couldn't do! Her sister, Mary Alice Luce, preceded her in death in 2013. She is survived by her sisters, Gloria D. Parker and Frances "Tommie" Staten; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Church, 62 Needmore St., Walton, KY 41094. Chamber and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Pat Scott Ball Field, c/o Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Online condolences may be expressed to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
