James "Jimmy" Arthur Butler, 62, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. He worked in retail as a sales associate and cashier. Jimmy enjoyed playing the lottery, cooking (and eating), socializing, and was honored as a Kentucky Colonel in 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Opal Butler, brother, Paul Jr., sisters, Bobby Ernst, Geraldine Helms and Phyllis Holt, and his nephew, Bryan Crawford. Jimmy is survived by his niece, who he raised like a daughter, Vicky (Mac) McMullen; great-nephews, who he raised as grandsons, Randy (Anna) McMullen and their children, Aiden and Ava, Doug McMullen and his son,y Killian; nieces, Amy (Kevin) Winscher and their children, Jayla and Jackson, Janice Ramsey, Barb Crawford, Linda Boaz and Deb Napier; nephews, Bobby Earl, Robby Crawford and Rodney Crawford; sisters, Paulette Barnes and Peggy Crawford; and his grand pets (that he always loved taking care of when his family would travel) Kapone, Kessa, Princess, Alex, Torin, Frankie and Luna. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to the family of James Butler in C/O Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.
