Obituary of John Fields

John "Jack" Denver Fields, age 86, of Union, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.
He was a United States Navy Veteran who fought in the Korean War.
Jack retired after 37 years from Cincinnati Bell where he worked as a supervisor.
He was a member of the Pioneer Club of Cincinnati Bell and the VFW and was also honored as a Kentucky Colonel.
Jack enjoyed traveling, camping, going to old car shows, watching his grandson's baseball games, but his greatest joy however, was spending time with his family. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Eva Fields, brother, Chester Fields and sister, Oma Rowell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley; daughter, Colette (Gene) Click; sons, Brian (Marie) Fields, Bernie (Dianne) Fields, and Curtis Fields; sisters, Claudia (Kenny) Bezold and Donna Closs; grandchildren, Christopher, Travis, Matthew, Zachary, Bridgette, Jacob, Connor, Ryan, and Sierra; great-grandchildren, Ashley and one on the way.
A visitation for Jack will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5PM until 8PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2016 beginning at 11:30 AM, also at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.
