Obituary of Elmer Cruey

ERLANGER - Elmer Cecil Cruey, 78, died Saturday, March 28 at the Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati. He was a Korean War Army veteran, a machinist at the Signode Corp. and a member of the American Legion Post 4 in Florence. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Lemons Cruey of Erlanger; daughter, Kathy Lockwood of Milford; son, John Cruey of Williamstown; stepdaughter, Kim Vaughn of Burlington; stepsons Dean Baker of Burlington and Mike Baker of Florence; sister, May Hutchinson of Erlanger; brothers Gerald Cruey of Latonia, Billy Cruey of Dry Ridge, Dexter Cruey of Williamstown, Russell Cruey of Erlanger and Bobby Cruey of Lincoln, Neb; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 with services immediately following at the Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown.
