Jay Owen Mucha, of Union, KY passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the age of 55. He was born in Columbus, OH on May 8, 1961; the son of Carl and Jane Mucha. Jay was an avid University of Kentucky, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Indians fan. He also enjoyed camping, swimming, fishing, coloring and crafts. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his beloved family. Jay is survived by his parents; sisters, Joan (Dr. Michael) Miller and Jill (Don) Stinson; brother, Jeff (Lori) Mucha; nieces and nephews, Jamie, Shaunie, Austin (Kasey), Allie , Haley and Nick; friends, Joan Lee Orford and Sharon Rogers; as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation for Jay will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Union Rice Cemetery, Union, KY. Memorials in Jay's name can be given to BAWAC Inc., 7970 Kentucky Dr., Florence, KY 41042.
