Obituary of Helen Ewing

Helen Chance Ewing, age 91, went to be with the Lord with her loving family surrounding her on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
She was born to the late Ernest and Hester Hazel Penick on February, 6, 1926, at her grandparents' house in Sherman, KY.
She attended church at Walton First Baptist and most recently at Hebron Baptist. Helen was very active in her church community doing mission trips from Alaska, Colorado, and Texas three times, to being a Sunday school teacher, preparing meals and activities for Fairhaven Rescue Mission, participating in the Southern Baptist Conventions, being a GA and RA leader, and a board member of Baptist Convalescent Center.
She definitely touched many people along her way.
Helen enjoyed making jewelry, gardening, reading, china painting, classical hymns, but her greatest joy however, was her family and spending time with them.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Chance and her parents. Helen is survived by her daughters, Paulette Schalck and Karen Chance; sister, Jean Hoffman; grandchildren, Kim (Dave) Bridges, Lesley Noe, Bart Noe, Aaron (Kellye) Schalck, and Hannah (Ben) Cobb; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Audra) Bridges, Travis (Jessalyn) Bridges, Lindsey (Nathan) Isidro, Austin Sweeney, Carter Cobb, Bode Schalck, and Piper Schalck.
A visitation for Helen will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 11AM until 1PM at Hebron Baptist Church, 3435 Limaburg Rd, Hebron, KY 41048.
A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1PM, also at the church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
