Obituary of Thomas Mathis

Thomas Mathis, 80, of Morning View, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth South Medical Center, Edgewood. He was a retired supervisor from Richard Geottle Construction, and a member of Piner Baptist Church and Oneida Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Zara Mathis; a daughter, Theresa Burnette of Morning View; brothers, Hugh Mathis of Cincinnati and Blaine Mathis of Corona, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at noon Wednesday. Burial will be in Wilmington Baptist Church Cemetery
