Wow! Our hearts and prayers are with you Angie. Many, many great memories and laughs with Dan through the years. Would still love to have him as my sound tech. I've told his story many times to folks facing dialysis. He was a great success story and had a great attitude, even through tough stuff. He's enjoying his rest and reward.
Such a kind soul, I remember all his volunteering at Nicholson, and how much he adored his daughter. A good man, gone too soon. We know where he is. The peace and comfort of Jesus Christ to all friends and family.
When I first met Dan I believe he was a biomed at Bethesda hospital and I was a surgical tech. Years later I ended up working in the biomed department with Dan at Christ hospital---he was my supervisor. Dan did a lot of good things for our department, but what impressed me more about him was the courage and grace with which he faced his health challenges. I saw him over the years when he returned to Christ hospital as a visitor or patient, and I can honestly say I never saw a hint of sadness or "why me" that would be excusable in someone facing his trials. Rest in Peace, Dan.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.You know the way to the place where I am going."
