Mary W. Bass Baird, 84, of Walton passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. She was a telephone operator for AT&T and later was a childcare provider. Mary loved Bingo, going to the Boat, and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Baird, Sr., son Robert D. Baird, grandson Robert D. Torrens, sisters Ann Henry and Roberta Smith, brother Miller Bass, and step-sister JoAnn Alford. Survivors include son Paul Baird, Jr. of Paducah; daughter Paula R. Baird of Walton; brother Clyde Bass of Bradenton, FL; step-sister Allene Key of Alexandria; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends and special little pug "Buddy". Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2012 from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 12:30 AM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Florence. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens of Taylor Mill. Memorials may be directed to the Family of Mary Baird c/o Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy. Florence, KY 41042
